Mended Fences: A Candid Discussion on Black Mother-Daughter Relationships

(August 17, 2023) This year, HERitage Giving Fund hosted a much needed and candid conversation honoring Black Philanthropy Month's theme, Love in Action. It was an inspiring and thought-provoking event where we celebrated the strength and resilience of Black mothers and daughters. The in-person gathering took place at Pan-African Connection in Dallas (Glendale Shopping Center).

Through open and honest conversations, we aimed to mend fences and bridge gaps within our community. This event provided a safe space for Black mothers and daughters to share their experiences, challenges, and triumphs. We believe that by coming together, we can empower and uplift one another.

The panel of esteemed speakers, consisted of influential Black mothers and their daughters, from various backgrounds who discussed topics such as motherhood, self-care, navigating societal expectations, and the importance of community support.
