HERitage Honored with Inaugural Umoja Award at the 21 Shades of Pink Dinner Soiree

(July 20, 2023) HERitage Giving Fund was honored by The International Girls Academy with the inaugural Umoja “Community Organization of the Year” award, that recognized an individual/organization who has strived to maintain unity in their community, nation, and race.

We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to The International Girls Academy for recognizing HERitage Giving Fund as a collective body for the first time!

Receiving the inaugural award is particularly meaningful to us because it was presented by a young Black woman who is making a difference through her own philanthropy and nonprofit work. She represents exactly why we exist - to uplift and support Black womxn in all aspects of their lives and careers. We are honored to be recognized by such an incredible organization that shares our values of empowerment and community.

Check out the 21 Shades of Pink Dinner Soiree Digital Program to learn more about the organization and other honorees.
