Dallas Soirée Awards HERitage Giving Fund

The International Girls Academy is proud to announce their 21 Shades of Pink Dinner Soirée Dallas edition! The 21 Shades of Pink Dinner Soiree is a national dinner highlighting and honoring amazing women in the field, while paying homage to the founder’s friend who took her life. “Pink” was her favorite color.

HERitage Giving Fund will be recognized with the inaugural Umoja Award. This award recognizes an individual/organization who has strived to maintain unity in their community, nation, and race.

100 % of the proceeds will go towards a scholarship giveaway and overall programing for International Girls Academy students!

Mekeba Green launched the organization to help provide resources to the next generation of girls of color so that they would never feel like they could not accomplish things due to social, economic status, background, etc.

The International Girls Academy's mission is to unite, uplift, and empower through the instruction and practice of the Nguzo Saba, aka The Seven Principles, created by Dr. Muluana Karenga. The seven principles of The International Girls Academy are: Unity, Self-Determination, Collective Work and Responsibility, Cooperative Economics, Purpose, Creativity, and Faith. By embedding the Nguzo Saba into our everyday lives, they strive to create a positive and open-minded society. Through the Nguzo Saba, The International Girls Academy will empower our girls to understand that they don't need to be given a seat at the table. They can create their own.
